As soon as I take it, 30 minutes later my stomach starts to growl like I haven't eaten anything all day!! It boosts your appetite while decreasing your metabolism a bit to help you gain weight. I've been on it for three weeks and already eating more than I ever expected. I currently weigh 103 pounds (Have a fast metabolism) and my goal is to gain 15-20 pounds eating healthy, of course because I want to gain muscle and not fat! I'm a nursing student and running around helps increasing my appetite while on this formula!!Even with a fast metabolism, my appetite increases with these pills. It is incredible. I lift with weights four times a week as super sets and crunches and body weight excercises the other three. Ive tried other creatines and experienced water weight and headaches, along with it being gross and grainy.. I saw this stuff in magazine adds and honestly the main reason I bought it was cause of the UFC thing and the cool red packaging.. When I first took it I was so surprised at the texture and taste plus the small sized serving scoop that I was positive it wouldnt work.. Then I noticed that I wasn't getting sore... Like at all.. I never gained water weight and was stoked that it mixed so good with a scoop of protein powder.. I knew I liked it but fully realized how much I loved it a week after I ran out and couldnt lift my arms the day after lifting cause I was in paaaiin.. I just ordered more and I will keep ordering it as long as Im lifting.. trust me you must try it, it isnt a gimmick. Ive never written a review for a product and I took the time for this stuff. Subsequently, I did a comprehensive review of the literature and learned that it not only improves bone density but also is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, is protective against cancer, stimulates the immune system, and transports iron. Its effectiveness (and safety) was demonstrated recently (late 2009) in a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. It reduced blood infections in very low birthweight infants (infants weighing less than 2.2 lbs) by 70 percent. I believe that everyone of all ages--but especially post-menopausal women at risk for osteopenia and osteoporosis, women and men with osteoporosis, and women with breast cancer who are taking Tamoxifen or Arimidex--should be taking lactoferrin instead of Fosamax and other biophosphonates (which have terrible side effects) to... That's a secondary benefit I was really hoping for. Unnfortunately, it seems to have failed miserably with the primary benefit I was looking for: reduction in (not-yet-anemic) iron deficiency (i.e., low ferritin). I started with ferritin of 16, supplemented with iron pills for a month, and it went to 30. Then took nothing for the next month and it stayed at 30. Then went for a third month with first-time lactoferrin (no iron pills) and it dropped to 17! This may be because lactoferrin sold as a supplement in the US is iron-depleted (apolactoferrin), while the lactoferrin that helped raise ferritin levels in studies of iron-deficiency was the non-modified, iron-rich variety that better mimics what is in mother's milk. Since restarting iron I have on several occasions taken some more lactoferrin concurrently when I feel a cold sore or a cold coming on. And it's been...
